Objectives
1. Reduce homicides.
    Year 2010 Target: 3 homicides per 100,000 population
    Year 1999: 11 homicides per 100,000 population

2. Reduce maltreatment and maltreatment fatalities of children
  2a. Reduce maltreatment of children.
       Year 2010 Target: 10.3 per 1,000 children under age 18 years.

  2b. Reduce child maltreatment fatalities
       Year 2010 Target: 1.4 per 100,000 children under age 18 years.

3. Reduce the rate of physical assault by current or former intimate partners.
    Year 2010 Target: 3.3 physical assaults per 1,000 persons aged 12
                                    years and older.

4. Reduce the annual rate of rape or attempted rape.
    Year 2010 Target: 0.7 rapes or attempted rapes per 1,000 persons.

5. Reduce sexual assault other than rape.
    Year 2010 Target: 0.4 sexual assaults other than rape per 1,000
                                     persons aged 12 years and older.

6. Reduce physical assaults.
    Year 2010 Target: 13.6 physical assaults per 1,000 persons aged 12 years and older.

7. Reduce physical fighting among adolescents.
    Year 2010 Target: 32%.

8. Reduce weapon carrying by adolescents on school property.
    Year 2010 Target: 4.9%
